Belleville Parks

It’s always nice to enjoy a day outside. Belleville has a lot to offer in the form of the parks that are spread throughout the city.

The Belleville Swimming Pool

The Belleville Swimming Pool is located on Heckler Street. The pool offers classes on swimming and aerobics. You can look into renting the pool for private parties. There is a concession stand on the premises.

Bellevue Park

On Bellevue Park Drive you will find Bellevue Park. This sprawling oasis offers 27 acres of scenic trees and walkways. You can fish in the lake or take advantage of the tennis courts on the property. There is a fitness trail that winds throughout the park, and plenty of rolling hills where you’ll often find a wedding taking place on a sunny weekend day. During the summer, you will find a concert in the park at the Music and Drama Facility. At Bellevue Park, there’s something for everyone.

Cambridge park

Cambridge park is located on North 30th Street and is a wonderful neighborhood park. This is a great place to take young children as you will find swings, a climbing wall and several slides that they will love. Keep an eye on your kids as you take a leisurely stroll around the park or sit and talk on the swinging benches.

Citizens Park

For our more active residents, Citizens Park on Citizens Park Drive offers softball diamonds and a BMX Bike Ramp, as well as the normal playground equipment. If you are active or planning to be active in the city soft ball leagues, you will spend a lot of time at this beautiful park.

Dawn Heights Mini Park

Wabash Ave is the home of Dawn Heights Mini Park. Great for socializing, Dawn Heights Mini Park has playground equipment and picnic tables for you and your family to enjoy.

Downtown Square

At the center of the city you will find Downtown Square. While not a park in the common sense, you will find plenty of recreational opportunities here. From parades and festivals to the concerts you will find there, there is always something to see and do in Downtown Square. Visit the Memorial Fountain or stroll through the flower gardens. Downtown Square is the center of the community.

East End Park

On Forest Ave you will find East End Park. There are tennis courts and sports fields available for your use. It’s an excellent place to picnic as there are ample tables and barbeque grills for all.
